Have you made sure under file association your removing any other ref to. It seems I was using an old or corrupt version of the cpbo executable.

I use kegetys cpbo Download the files. Could you get cPBO working with Win7? Will try both, see which suits most. I'd guess you need to be logged in as an administrator on Vista to make those file associations. Unassoc only removes extra associations and double clicking a pbo will start Arma 2. Works wonderfully well, why not give it a bash. You will be able to leave a comment after signing in.

A few people have asked for cpbo to be updated to work with Arma 3 PBOs and the possibility of releasing the source. Thanks, i will cpbbo to try it tonight. I know Arma2 can associate with it causing CPBO to do nothing, and it seems similar to what you describe.
